Billy Price  "east coast blue-eyed soul man"  en al drie decennia publieksvriend nummer 1.

In zijn geboortestad Pittsburgh  is hij een "instituut". Zijn populariteit is niet moeilijk te verklaren. Zoals Geoffrey Himes van de Washington Post schreef, "In tegenstelling tot zovele  blues revivalists is Price niet een imitatie van oudere en/of betere zangers -- nee hij is THE REAL THING."
