Guy Forsyth is back! 2026 will see the return of Guy Forsyth to the European stage. And it will be a special one. It will celebrate the 25th jubileum of what most people consider to be his album: High Temperature. The songs on that cd will be played in full during the live shows. Austin, Texas-based musician, singer, storyteller, and songwriter Guy Forsyth. He started his career at a very young age as a stuntman in his role as Robin Hood. That shortlived stind ended up with his ass being kicked and being thrown in the water. What a start! But he never stopped dreaming about a career in showbiz and worked hard to achieve that. Leaving Kansas for Texas, playing there in almost every bar, made money busking at the Streets. Fast forward to 20 years later: Guy played all over the world, made 20+ records won many awards and helped define Austin music. Forsyth is simply a one-of-a-kind original. He not only writes and sings his own songs, but he enjoys telling the stories behind their inspiration. He is a modern American Songster. He recorded a his cd for prestigious Antone’s Blues Label suffered some trouble with the Law after being involved with a rather massive marijuana bust a but and they went went bankrupt. Didn't stop Guy: he started The Asylum Street Spankers and took Austin by storm. Forsyth’s life is not entirely focused on music, however. He sang during the Presidental Election of '25/'26. Taught Tai-Chi for free in Austin for 10 years to disabled vets, children & anyone else who wanted to learn and helped them to get into balance. Well, there is plenty more to say about Guy but that has to wait. Because there are 2 other high profile gents in this special show. BassplayerGerry McAvoy toured with Rory Gallagher for 20 years and played on all his albums. Drummer Brendan O'Neil worked with Rory for 10 years and was the backbone behind lots of other great acts. And these guys (no pun intended) have teamed up for something special. The show will start with some of Gerry's own songs and being sung by him. That's something new! After that this cracking band (added by a great guitarist whose name will be revealed later) will play the full High Temperature. And if that's not enough the evening will end with some Rory songs and possibly a surprise! There is only tour planned for this so make sure you're not missing it.
