Soul Picnic is a brand new live show out of London featuring an elite 5-piece soul/jazz house band and an ensemble of powerhouse vocalists. For Blues Aan De Zaan Festival the featured singers will be Jo Harman, known for her multimillion streaming and Radio 2 play-listed songs, alongside Australian soul singer Georgia Van Etten and soul/blues vocalist Amba Tremain to complete the lineup of this revue show of original songs, deep cuts, and soul classics.
THE BAND
Soul Picnic is led by Musical Director Pete Billington, but with the addition of Netherlands resident Frank Montis on Hammond/second keyboards. Terry Lewis of the band Mamas Gun on guitar and from Jo Harmans touring band, Martin “Magic” Johnson on drums and Sonny Winslow on bass. Collectively, the band members have toured with an array of UK and international touring acts, including the likes of platinum selling artists like Beverley Knight, Lisa Stansfield, Rumer, Connor Reeve etc, US soul legends such as The Impressions, The Emotions, Leon Ware, Billy Valentine, The Jones Girls, plus any number of jazz, blues and UK pop acts, too numerous to mention.
